FAIRDAY will return to its much-loved former home at Hyde Park on Sunday 16th February, 2014.
Gates will open at 11am and the event will run until 6pm. Entry will be $5, but will be free for Pride WA members and children aged under 16.
The event will feature stalls and community entertainment, including the much-loved dog show. Alcohol will not be on sale, but approval has been granted for patrons to BYO and drink responsibly.
Patrons are also encouraged to bring a picnic basket to enjoy with their friends and families, and gourmet food will also be on sale.
If you would like to pre-order a picnic lunch, to be collected from the Smoult's Deli stall on the day, please click here for more information.
While smoking restrictions have not been placed on the event, we have created a special smoking space for the convenience of all patrons, and to minimise the impact on the reserve.
Stall applications for 2014 are closed, if you are interested in being involved with Fairday in 2015 email firstname.lastname@example.org to register your interest
Pride WA has appointed one of WA's most successful event managers, The Event Agency, to help make the return of our community's favourite event to Hyde Park an amazing experience for all of our members, patrons, stallholders, entertainers and volunteers. HOLD HANDS FOR SOCHI
PRIDE FAIRDAY is one of 37 Remote Pride House events happening around the world in support of LGBT people living in Russia and in protest against the increasingly horrific treatment they are receiving.
At 1.30pm, we will ask all present to stand and join hands in a minute's silence as a sign of solidarity and support. Throughout the day, you will also be able to have your photo taken, holding hands, at the Darwin Outgames stall. These photos will be uploaded as a part of the campaign.
Check out the photo from MARDI GRAS FAIRDAY last Sunday below. This is what we want to see at FAIRDAY on Sunday.
