PRIDE PARADE & RUSSELL SQ AFTER-PARTY

Get ready to SHINE! Perth’s first Pride Parade in Northbriidge in nearly 3 years calls for a celebration like no other. Expect all the lights, colour, music and sensational costumes you’ve come to expect and then some!

At the end of the Parade, spectators will be invited to join the procession which moves to Russell Square, where a free family-friendly community party featuring DJ Timbee, Dean Misdale and the incredible Kween Kong from RuPaul Drag’s Race Down Under. Party til midnight, partake in the food trucks or take a closer look at the floats on Parker St.

There is no ticket required to watch the Parade or attend the After-party at Russell Square, which kicks off immediately after the Parade concludes. As the final float (Pride WA volunteers) marches past, spectators will be invited to come onto the Parade route and follow the procession to Russell Square.

PARADE ROUTE & TIMINGS

The procession kicks off from Russell Square and goes down Aberdeen, William and James Sts, passing the main commentary stage at the Northbridge Pride Piazza before returning to Russell Square. Floats will return to Parker St where the public can have a closer look after the Parade. Before and during the Parade, Russell Sq and Parker St is reserved for Parade participants with the proper accreditation so please avoid gathering there before the Parade.

Sections of James St will be reserved for VIPs and spectators with accessibility (Auslan, audio description and wheelchair) needs. The latter are required to pre-register their interest and meet at the Accessibility Concierge marquee on Lake St (between James and Roe Sts) upon arrival – entry via Roe St.

Live commentary will also be available on special stages positioned on the corner of Aberdeen/ William and William/ James Sts. For spectators who prefer a bit more space we recommend watching the Parade on Aberdeen St.

Pre-Parade entertainment will kick off from 6pm at the corner of James and Lake Sts, with live bands and dancers wowing crowds along the Parade route as well.

TOILETS

Additional toilet facilities will be available on Lake St, between Francis and James Sts, between James and Roe Sts, on Francis St (off William St) and in Russell Sq.

MARCHING PARTICIPANTS

Entry to the Russell Sq marshalling area is strictly by wristbands only. Your entry will be given a specific arrival time at the Parade Entrants’ Briefing. Please contact your respective Float Marshals for your instructions.

Can’t attend the Parade in person? The Parade will be webcast via perthnow.com.au. Join us virtually from anywhere in the world!

AFTER-PARTY & FLOAT DISPLAY

A free all-ages alcohol-free After Party will be held at Russell Sq immediately following the Parade until midnight. Food trucks and additional drinking water kiosks will be available. The public can also view the floats on display on Parker St.

Bring as little as possible with you, leave nothing behind and take only the wonderful memories from these events. Please be considerate of others at events. Disrespectful, threatening and disruptive behaviour towards participants, fellow spectators and volunteers will not be tolerated and may be escalated to Security or Police.
