Pride Parade

Get ready to march, dance, and celebrate at the Pridefest Parade! Join community groups, businesses, and organisations as we come together in solidarity and celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community, parading through the streets of Northbridge with pride and joy. Entertainment kick-off from 6pm and parade starts at 8pm.

  • Entertainment starts from 6pm across Northbridge.
  • Smoking Ceremony from 7:45pm
  • Parade starts at 8pm
  • Concludes at approximately 9:30pm
  • Head to our free Pridefest Parade Party presented by the City of Perth at Russell Square from 9:30pm – 12am.

Getting to the event

Public transport is the easiest way to get to and from the event. Visit the Transperth website to find the best route for you. Normal parking fees and rules apply within Northbridge and the City.

ROAD CLOSURES & TOWING

Stage 1 Road Closure and Towing 3:00pm
Stage 2 Road Closure and Towing 4:00pm

All roads will be opened by 11:30pm.

Roads are closed for the shortest possible duration, whilst managing participant safety. Some roads will still allow for local access, and residential address proof may be requested by traffic control – please have this ready if you live locally.

Towing – No vehicles are to be left on the streets within the road closures and will be towed from 3:00pm and 4:00pm if not moved in time.

ACCESSIBILITY

Pride Parade is for everyone. The Accessibility Area provides a safe, comfortable, and inclusive viewing space for LGBTQIA+ community members, friends, and allies who may require additional support to fully enjoy the event. Located close to the parade route and start line with clear sightlines, this area offers accessible seating, priority access for mobility devices, and assistance from volunteers. Key features includes:

 

  • Sensory-friendly area on grass with chairs and beanbags, away from the hustle and bustle for those who may need a calmer environment.
  • Designated drop off and pick up area (accessible ONLY from Newcastle Street)
  • Toilets and accessible toilets are placed on Lake Street between the drop-off zone and Aberdeen Street.
  • Auslan Viewing Area: for Auslan users, there will be a space reserved next to the stage to see the interpreter
  • Seated Viewing Area; for folks who are blind or have low vision and require Audio Description, or people who cannot stand for the duration of the parade.
  • Wheelchair Viewing Area: for people who use wheelchairs, scooters and frames.

PEDESTRIAN CROSSING POINTS

The parade route will be fenced off with plenty of great vantage points, and pedestrian crossings to ensure you can cross the road safely. These will be manned by SES volunteers, please await their instruction before crossing.

These are located at:

  • Corner of Aberdeen St and Lake St
  • Corner of Aberdeen St and William St
  • Corner of Francis St and Williams St
  • Corner of Williams St and James St
  • Corner of Lake St and James St near the Northbridge Piazza

FIRST AID

St John Ambulance crew will be on site, with 2 static stations at Russell Square and Northbridge Piazza. There will also be roaming crews along the parade route, and at the satellite stages (corner James and William Street, start line, Piazza).

TOILETS

Portable toilets will be located along the route in the below locations:

  • Lake Street near corner of James Street (across from Air Nightclub)
  • Near Northbridge Piazza on James Street
  • Start Line (corner of Aberdeen and Lake Street)
  • Corner of Francis Street and William Street

Pride Parade After Party 2025

Keep the celebration going! Join us after the parade for an unforgettable Pride After Party full of colour, community, and good vibes. We’re bringing the fun with non-stop entertainment, live performances, and DJ sets that will keep you dancing well into the night.

You’ll find everything you need to relax and enjoy the moment – delicious bites from local food trucks, a fully stocked bar serving your favourite beverages (card only), and accessible toilet facilities throughout the event.

Access is only via James Street entry from 9:30pm.

No tickets required and free entry.

Russell Square is a licensed venue – all ages are welcome but those under 18. Must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.

Bring your friends, make new ones, and celebrate love, diversity, and pride with us. This is the perfect place to wrap up the parade in true Pride style!
